CAR RIDE is a multimedia installation that traces the artist’s journey from their temporary residence at the Chancellor Hotel in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to the communal art space of Alice Yard. The painted wall design references the possible routes that exist between the two spaces, which change according to the knowledge and choices made by the local drivers who facilitate the trip. Over the course of two weeks, the artist traveled to and from Alice Yard, sometimes making several trips in a single day. While the starting point and the end point do not change, the journey between the two is never the same.
